Tech2Win 3.3

Tech2Win is a Windows-based diagnostic application that emulates the original Tech 2 handheld scan tool for GM vehicles. It brings dealership-level diagnostics to a PC, covering legacy GM platforms typically from the early 1990s through the early 2010s (pre-GDS2). When paired with a compatible vehicle communication interface—most commonly GM MDI or MDI 2—it provides access to:

• Reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
• Viewing and recording live data streams
• Bi-directional tests and actuator controls
• Special functions and service procedures (e.g., relearns and adaptations)
• Module setup/configuration on supported platforms

Tech2Win is intended for professional technicians and advanced enthusiasts who need the capabilities of the legacy Tech 2 tool in software form. It runs on Windows and typically requires a valid license/subscription from an authorized service portal. Note that control module programming and security-related functions are generally handled via SPS/SPS2 rather than within Tech2Win. For newer GM vehicles, GDS2 is usually the recommended diagnostic application.
